All members are expected to contribute to the work of the Association by taking part in one or more of the following activities; study days, social events, training events, writing articles for the newsletter, adding to the best practice database or the day to day running of the ERA.
Members are also encouraged to follow the Losehill Hall Principles as ratified by the International Ranger Federation.
It is important that all Members promote the work of Rangers, Wardens and Volunteers through their local news media and where appropriate national press.
The English Ranger Association seeks to work in partnership with existing environmental networks such as FACT, Scrubnet, the VINE project, National Park Ranger meetings, CMA, IPRO, CJS, National Trust, RSPB, Wildlife Trusts etc
The English Ranger Association also works to lobby both local and national decision-makers and politicians on key issues that affect the Role of Rangers and Volunteers in protecting the habitats, species, countryside and urban green space.
