 Code of Practice

The ERA would like to hear from Volunteer Rangers and Wardens.
We want to know about the type volunteering you undertake, the conditions of service you operate under and the recruitment proceedures you underwent.

We will be producing a Volunteer Ranger Code of Practice that will assist Full-time staff organising Volunteers by giving best practice examples and can be a benchmark by which those who choose to Volunteer can measure how effectively time is being used.

If you would like to share examples of good practice or wish to become involved in creating the Volunteer Code of Practice please contact us at the ranger@englishranger.co.uk email address
A welcome from
Zehra Peermohamed
ERA's Volunteer Rep.

As a Volunteer Coordinator and Ranger I know how much work and time Volunteers donate to Conservation, Visitor & Recreation Management.

Without Volunteers many Countryside Ranger Services would not be able to function properly.

The ERA is needs Volunteers to join and take an active part in what is the only English organisation dedicated to promoting the work of both the Fulltime and Volunteer Rangers

We would like to hear from you, about your work, the reasons why you Volunteer and what your hopes and aspirations are for the future involvement of Volunteer Rangers and Wardens in Countryside Management.

If you are a Volunteer Ranger or Warden Please join ERA and help us to improve the profile of  Volunteer Rangers.
